Louis Saha Injury Questions

Louis SahaLouis Saha has once again aborted his comeback from injury. The injury prone striker was expected to feature as substitute against Tottenham, however, he was ruled out just before kick-off. The withdrawal was described as “farcical” on the club’s television by Lou Macari.

Manager Sir Alex is known to have grown exasperated with Saha’s frequent absences and patience is wearing thin at Old Trafford. His last league match was since March last year. (more…)

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer Retires

Solksjaer scored against Bayern Munich

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, Manchester United legend and heroes among the red devils fans has confirmed his retirement from the games after an ongoing knee injury, but his Old Trafford days are far from over.

Famously nicknamed “the baby-faced assassin”, Solksjaer has been with the club for the past 11 years making 366 appearances and scoring 126 goals overall in his wonderful Old Trafford career. He was signed from Molde of Norway for a bargain of £1.5million. One of Solksjaer most valuable goal was again Bayern Munich in the Champions League final that help United win the treble. (more…)

Premier League - Saturday Round-Up

Saturday games saw all the big three ended as winner of their games respectively. Arsenal ended Manchester City perfect start to the Barclays Premier League season thanks to Cesc Fabregas goal at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners came into the game more after City had the best of the early chances but Manuel Almunia was forced to save well at Mpenza’s feet just after the hour mark. City keeper Kasper Schmeichel son of United legend Peter Schmeichel saved Robin van Persie’s penalty following Micah Richard’s foul on Aleksandr Hleb.

Chelsea won 1-0 against Portsmouth at Stamford Bridge although not at their best from Frank Lampard shot from 18 yards had too much power for David James, who could only deflect it weakly into the net.

Liverpool won more comfortably away to Sunderland with a 2-0 goals from Mohamed Sissoko and Andriy Voronin, it could be more worst if not for the heroic of Craig Gordon. (more…)

Finally our first win since the start of a new Barclay Premier League season thanks to Nani 67minute, 30 yards out thunderbolt strike into Robinson net. He received the ball with his back to goal, looks up, takes aim and hit a swerving shot with outside of his boot high into Paul Robinson net. (more…)

We Will Win - Man Utd vs Tottenham.

Gaffer Sir Alex Ferguson has boldly declared United will win their first Premiership game against Tottenham this Sunday, the first victory of the season for the devils who is having the worst start into a new campaign since 14 years ago. We may be languish in the relegation zone by the time United kick-off the match.

Having already fallen five points adrift of new championship favourites Chelsea, Ferguson knows another disappointing result cannot be afford. Ferguson is highly convinced United will ultimately emerge victorious. The devils has been dominant in every aspect except the goals column, the lost of Rooney and Ronaldo through injury and suspension had truly affected United in the third-end of the game. (more…)

Gabriel Heinze Completed His Moved

UPDATE: Gabriel Heinze Move Completed.

Real Madrid have completed the signings of Gabriel Heinze together with Chelsea winger Arjen Robben.

Heinze, 29, has signed a four-year deal with Real Madrid, no transfer fees has been confirmed at the moment while report from Madrid suggest Heinze could cost Real around £8million. The move draws the curtain on three years at Old Trafford for the all-action left-back, who United signed for £6.9million from Paris Saint Germain in June 2004.

Heinze made 83 appearances for the Reds scoring four goals, including a fabulous first season that saw him collect the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award. However, injuries hampered his second season with the Reds and last season he was under pressure for the left-back slot from Patrice Evra, now Sir Alex Ferguson’s first choice. (more…)

Lyon Targets; Silvestre & Heinze

Mikael Silvestre and Gabriel Heinze are targets of French champions Lyon who are desperate to fill the void left by Cris who has been ruled out for six months with a knee injury.

Coach Alain Perrin has confirmed both Silvestre and Heinze are on the club’s wanted list. ‘Mikael has the advantage of being a versatile left-footer as well. We must now see the conditions in which he could come. (more…)

Fergie Hunting Strikers

After three winless start to the Premiership campaign, rumour are running high that Fergie will once again splash his cash for a striker. United attack look toothless after the loss of Rooney through foot injury and the suspension of Ronaldo who will sit for another two matches. New boy Tevez has looked lively in his last two games so far, it is asking a lot of a new player to become the attacking fulcrum when his natural role is not an out-and-out goal poacher in the Ruud van Nistelrooy mould.

Nicolas Anelka of Bolton, Obafemi Martins of Newcastle, Dimitar Berbatov of Spurs, Michael Owen of Newcastle and Klaas Jan Huntelaar of Ajax have all been mentioned. Now we look into the possibility of buying the few names mentioned above. (more…)

Heinze Forced Move Collapsed

After a two days hearing by a three man panel ruled that a letter signed by CEO David Gill, did not constitute a binding undertaking in offload Heinze to anyone who matched the £6.8million fee. So far, Liverpool are the only club United confirmed have met their valuation, but Gill and Ferguson both refused to sanction a deal which would have seen Heinze become the first player to leave Old Trafford for Anfield since Phil Chisnall in 1964. It’s just really hard to start a paragraph about the scoreline of the Manchester derby which was won by City single goal strike by Geovanni’s first-half effort, maintaining Sven-Goran Eriksson’s 100% start as Blues boss and leaving United languishing in the bottom five, seven points behind their city rivals.
