Holland international Sneijder is currently in Beijing with his club ahead of this weekend’s Italian Super Cup against city rivasl AC Milan.

It has been reported Sneijder will play his last match for Inter against AC Milan. Speculation suggest the terms of United’s offer would involve a salary pay-cut for the 27-year-old with a transfer fee or around £30million to Inter Milan.

Sir Alex Ferguson deny he is in the interest to sign Inter Milan’s Wesley Sneijder. But, reports continue to suggest Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Holland international Sneijder.

United have long been linked with Sneijder, 27, as they seek a replacement for Paul Scholes, and first team coach Rene Meulensteen suggested a move was on the cards when he described the midfielder as an “ideal” signing.

Meanwhile, Inter director Marco Branca said this week that Sneijder is not for sale unless a”mega-galactic: offer arrives, while the player had earlier said he was happy at the club.

ESPNsoccernet sources believe the player’s wage demands is the red light for the deal. Sneijder is believed to have demanded wages of £250,000 a week to switch to Old Trafford which was refused point blank by United. However, indications are that the Dutch star would be willing to come down to £190,000 a week. A more acceptable proposition for the Red Devils.

Netherland coach Bert van Marwijk believes Sneijder would benefit from a move to Old Trafford.

“A transfer to Manchester United would only make Wesley a better player,” he said in The Sun. “He has already played for top teams like Real Madrid and Inter Milan but United would be another step forward for him – not only because of their football and their way of thinking, but also because it would be a new challenge for him. That is often very inspiring for players and gives them new energy.

“It would also be advantageous for the Dutch national team. Manchester United’s game is closer in style to ours than that of Inter. With us, Wesley has a long time on the ball. He is involved at all times and is dangerous with his passing and shots on goal. In Italy, he plays deeper and must compete against five or six defenders.

“The way we play allows Wesley to make his mark on the game and it would be the same if he played for United. I think he would fit in well there.”

According to UK paper theSun, it was reported Wesley Sneijder is ready to sign for Manchester United this week in a club record £35 million deal. The last time United break a record deal was also from Italy, Juan Sebastian Veron from Lazio.

I’m quite optimistic that Wesley Sneijder will not be another flop from Italy that United signed given he’s more stronger physically and doesn’t scare to embroiled in body tussle that is quite common in Barclay Premier League.

The Inter Milan midfielder is expected to agree a bumper deal that would surpass Wayne Rooney’s £220,000 a week. Inter are resigned to cashing in on the 27-year-old Dutchman. A team-mate said: “Everyone expects Wesley’s move to United to be announced soon, maybe as early as Wednesday.”

The source added: “He has even spoken to Dutch international team-mate Nigel de Jong to find out where are the best places to live in Manchester.

“It all looks imminent, no matter what Inter or Wesley may say in public.
“It seems Inter want to sell but don’t want to admit it, while Wesley wants to go but doesn’t want to say it. It’s a good move for him and good business for Inter.”

We shall see how it turn out to be when the week end!

Anders Lindegaard names has been circulating as the next man to guard Manchester United goal post.

Reports cited United set to launch a January bid to sign Aalesunds goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard after Eric Steele, Red Devils goalkeeping coach, flew to Norway to scout the player for a fifth time.

United have been following Lindegaard for several months as they hunt for a successor to Edwin van der Sar. The Dutchman, who joined United from Fulham in 2005, turns 40 in October and is expected to announce his retirement at the end of the season.

Last weekend, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson flew to Valencia to cast his eye over another candidate, David de Gea, the Spain Under-21 goalkeeper, but switched his attention back to Lindegaard and dispatched Steele to watch the Denmark international during Aalesunds’ 2-1 defeat at Stabaeck on Sunday.

Lindegaard, 26, originally moved to Aalesunds on loan after struggling to make his mark at Danish club Odense, but impressed so much that they signed him on a three-year deal. He made his international debut in a Euro 2012 qualifier against Iceland last month and has been attracting a lot of attention since claiming a regular first-team place at the Colour Line Stadion.

“I know that some British clubs are keeping tabs, but I don’t know how strong their interest is,” Aalesunds’ sports director Henrik Hoff told Norway’s VG newspaper last week.

“I have said all the time that something will happen in the winter window, but I could be mistaken. As big as the interest is, it would be strange if we don’t receive a serious offer.”

United sold England goalkeeper Ben Foster to Birmingham City in the summer and only have Tomasz Kuszczak as an experienced alternative to Van der Sar.

Everton’s teenager Jack Rodwell is believe to be on Sir Alex tracking list. Boss Fergie is set to offer £10million plus out-of-favour Michael Carrick before the window closes later. While Everton are desparate to hold on to the under-21 ace but may find the deal too tempting.

Rodwell, 19, is a central midfielder who can also play at centre half and has been compared to a young Rio Ferdinand. United have been unsure whether to go for the player now or wait till the end of this campaign, by then his value will have rocketed when Rodwell add another season of experience under his belt.

Rodwell has been at Goodison since he was seven and became the club’s youngest player in Europe when he was 16. He made his Premier League debut in March 2008 and scored last season in their 3-1 home win over United.

Will Sol Campbell get his chance to reignite his career with Red Devils? Nobody know yet, as all the news are flying with rumors that Sir Alex Ferguson had on Wednesday invited Campbell to train with the United team to assess his fitness ahead of New Year and Fergie could offer him a six-month contract until the end of the season to ease Devils’ plague of defensive injuries.

However, Campbell has revealed that there has not yet been any approach from the Red Devils but he would be happy to train with the Premer League champions after spending several weeks with former club Arsenal.

Campbell told ESPN Soccernet: “I have heard nothing officially from Manchester United, but there have been suggestions and of course, it would be a great move for me, if it happens. I shall just have to wait and see if a call comes through the right channels.

“Of course I would love to play for Manchester United, but I am not counting any chickens, just waiting to see what happens. I am training as usual at Arsenal, and would go to train at Manchester United if I was asked.”

Campbell also told ESPN Soccernet that he feels fully fit after intense training every day with the Gunners, and he is itching to resume his career.

With a host of defenders, including Rio Ferdinand, John O’Shea, Jonny Evans and Wes Brown, all sidelined, Sir Alex could be interested in bringing in the former England defender on a short-term contract.

Although the player has reached an agreement to leave Notts County, it is highly unlikely that he would be able to play for another club before the transfer window opens on January 1 as he was contracted to the Magpies when the last window closed.

A host of Premier League clubs are likely to be chasing his signature once he is eligible to sign for a new club, though it is certain the 35-year-old will need time to get back to full match fitness.

Manchester United had been linked with Villarreal keeper Diego Lopez again. Lopez claimed a move to Premier League is very attractive!

Reports in Spain have repeatedly suggested that Lopez is a target for the Premier League champions as Sir Alex Ferguson weighs up his long-term goalkeeping options.

Edwin van der Sar turns 39 on Thursday and England international Ben Foster is yet to convince he can be the Dutchman’s permanent successor.

Lopez is among a string of keepers mooted as possible replacements for Van der Sar and he has impressed since joining Villarreal from Real Madrid in 2007.

He won his first cap for Spain in August and has reportedly been watched twice by scouts from United recently as Villarreal seek to recover from a poor start to the season.

The 27-year-old is rated in the £15million category and he is aware of the speculation linking him with a switch to England.

“I’m aware of rumours and the Premier League is very attractive,” Lopez is quoted by The Sun.

Schalke boss Felix Magath claims Manchester United are tracking his highly-rated goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who could cost around £5million. In this current market, does £5million can fetch you top keeper? I doubt so, hence, lets go on with the rumors now!

The 23-year-old is regarded as one of Europe’s hottest prospects, and has already broken into the senior Germany side.

He has been part of the first-team set-up at Schalke for the past three years and is now firmly established as the club’s number one.

A number of impressive showings during his time at the Veltins Arena have seen him draw admiring glances from other clubs, with United reportedly the latest to check on his progress.

Magath is keen to avoid any talk of a possible transfer for now, but admits he is aware of mounting interest in the young goalkeeper.

“I have heard Manchester United would be interested in signing Manuel Neuer,” he told Die Welt.

“But for as long as I don’t receive a concrete approach, I will not make any statement about this.”

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also believed to be keen on Neuer, but United are said to be willing to pay a higher fee in order to land the youngster.

With Foster suffering in both confidence and stability during his first competitive match for Red Devils, the rumors news are flushing around with story just to catch headlines.

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has reportedly agreed a fee of £5million with Manchester United for England Under-21 striker Fraizer Campbell.

United have also accepted a bid from Hull City, but Campbell is expected to head for the North-East to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms as Bruce steps up his efforts to strengthen the squad he inherited from Ricky Sbragia at the Stadium of Light.

The Huddersfield-born 21-year-old has made just four senior appearances for United, but impressed during a loan spell at Hull during the 2007-08 season, when he scored 15 goals in 37 appearances.
