Heinze Forced Move Collapsed

August 21st, 2007 at 5:03 pm , filed under Transfer.

After a two days hearing by a three man panel ruled that a letter signed by CEO David Gill, did not constitute a binding undertaking in offload Heinze to anyone who matched the £6.8million fee. So far, Liverpool are the only club United confirmed have met their valuation, but Gill and Ferguson both refused to sanction a deal which would have seen Heinze become the first player to leave Old Trafford for Anfield since Phil Chisnall in 1964.

Heinze still have two years of his United contract leaving him the possibility to see out the remaining years if he does not fancy to move aboard with Lyon the supposedly among the interest parties. However, Heinze does have the right to appeal to the Premier League appeals committee, which is made up of an independent, legally-qualified chairman, a member of the Premier League panel and a PFA appointee.

Now back to the future, if Heinze does stay put will he play into Sir Alex plan for this season? History shows that those who betray Sir Alex does faces the bad consequences. My points of view are, no doubt Heinze does play through his skin for United in his first season which won him the Manchester United Players of the Year Award. However, his quality had dropped since he comeback from lengthy injury, I think if given more time he’ll recover himself of the first season he with us.

Sir Alex need to assure him that he still can contribute to United though for the time being we can’t guarantee he can beat Evra in the left back slot. I will choose to retain Heinze rather than the ever error-prone Silvestre.
