Man Utd 1-0 Arsenal (Champions League)
O’shea the unlikely hero as he scored United a priceless 1-0 lead to take into the second leg of their Champions League semi-final with Arsenal.

Middlesbrough 0-2 Man Utd
Giggs and Ji-Sung Park increased Manchester United stranglehold on the Barclays Premier League title as Boro’s relegation fears increased.
Giggs set the visitors on the road to victory and Park sealed the points six minutes after restart as United won at a counter. Perhaps more importantly, United did so without having to call upon the big guns who were rested to Champions League semi-final second-leg at Emirates.
Arsenal 1-3 Man Utd (Champions League)

The future of Carlos Tevez were in great doubt. Ronaldo first half superb free-kick was overshadowed by Tevez’s effort, the South American racing to the dug-outs and cupping his ears listening to the celebrations after claiming on Sunday morning that his future will be away from Old Trafford.
Ronaldo was still shaking his head long after he had taken his place in the home dug-out after been replaced by Rooney. Ferguson decision in his substitution was to save his leg for mid-week game against Wigan.
Wigan Athletic 1-2 Man Utd
Michael Carrick struck an 87th minute winner to sink Wigan and move United to within a solitary point of retaining their Premier League title.
Carrick sealed another comeback win when he drove home O’Shea’s pass form the edge of the box, leaving United a point away to completing a hat-trick of Premier League triumphs. Only once during Sir Alex’s 10 previous successes have United done it in front of their own fans.
Man 0-0 Arsenal
Manchester United were crowned champions of England for a record-equalling 18th time at Old Trafford after a goalless draw with Arsenal ensured Liverpool cannot now catch their north-west rivals.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s side might not have given Usain Bolt a goal to celebrate on his first visit to the Theatre of Dreams but the Premier League trophy will do as consolation.
After over three decades as the unquestioned kings of English football, the Merseysiders now have someone else to share the title with.
And, if Ferguson is to be believed it will not be long before the Anfield outfit lose it altogether.
